Head of School's Welcome
"Love your neighbour as yourself"
Luke 10:27
St Mary's CE Primary School is a small, village primary school at the heart of its local community, which comprises of Portbury, Portishead, Pill and surrounding villages. We have approximately 90 children organised over 4 mixed-age classes. Our size helps to give our school the warm, friendly, family-feel that our families value. We are very fortunate to have a rich outdoor environment, which includes our field, conservation area and orchard and our new vegetable plot, all providing many exciting learning opportunities.

Children flourish at our school in an environment where they are celebrated both as an individuals and for the contribution they make to our community. As a close, family-feel community, we pride ourselves on the quality of the relationships between children, parents and staff and the wider community including the church and local residents. Our Nurture Accreditation makes clear our commitment to developing every individual to be their very best within an exciting and engaging curriculum. We know our children extremely well and treat them with respect, as unique individuals, supporting and challenging them to aim high and motivate them to do their best at all times. We provide our children, and staff, with a caring and nurturing environment they all truly deserve.
